Wrench Flats
 |
|
 |
| Application: wrench flats are available on rods (or pipe and tubing)
up to 1.0" diameter. Wrench flats are typically used in linkage applications
where a turnbuckle effect is required (i.e., the linkage ends are L.H.
and R.H.). Wrench flats cost less than welded nuts, hex-shaped bar or other
turned/machined grip areas.
Finish: plain, painted or plated are available. If plating is specified,
standard MCP plating is zinc with a yellow dichromate treatment.
Materials: carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Staking Rods
 |
|
 |
| Application: Staking (often called "swaging") is a press operation
used in place of welded washers, upset collars, or retaining rings. Stake
marks are used to provide a stopping surface for washers and/or the mounting
point. A very economical process, staking is available on all sizes of
rod fabrications and materials.
Materials: carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Tooling charges can be avoided if our standard stake sizes are used.
