| Application: MCP flattens pipe and tubing up to 3" O.D.
Flattened and punched ends are used to facilitate attachment to a mounting
point and are typically used in such applications as grab handles, guard
rails, structural supports and braces. The connecting pipe/tube can be
bent, formed, welded or machined to any configuration. For applications
requiring greater strength or thickness, a short pipe or tubing insert
can be placed in the end of the external tube prior to flattening.
Materials: carbon, stainless and aluminum.
Cost Savings Tip: use flattening and punching a hole
to eliminate welding and sub-components. The flat length can be extended
to eliminate welded fabrications for a direct mount to the parent material.
Flattening to center is typically less expensive than flattening to side.
