Upsetting Pipe/Tubing

Application: MCP upsets up to 2" O.D. pipe and tubing for grab handle, brace and linkage applications. Upset pipe/tubing eliminates the need for welding and provides a smooth shoulder for fit up. Collars and other shapes can be upset on any length material. The reduced portion beyond the upset is usually threaded.

Finish: plain or painted.

Cost Savings Tip: upset pipe/tube end grab handles cost less than welding the handle to the vehicle. Specify upset pipe on grab rails, handles and struts when the nut can be assembled internally. Allow a minimum of .25" between the last thread and the upset collar.

Flaring Pipe/Tubing

Capabilities: MCP flares up to 1.0" O.D. pipe and tubing. Collars and other shapes can be upset on any length material.

Materials: carbon and stainless.

Finish: plain, plated, passivated or painted.

Cost Savings Tip: use flared ends to eliminate welded subcomponents.
